        A lot of skirt! In a good way.

        I have a 37" waist, 47" hips, usually wear US/Canada size 16 or XL, so I bought the XL. It works (thanks to the very good elastic waistband)! But one could have easily made 2 skirts with the amount of fabric - which gives it a very voluminous and *extra* silhouette. This isn't exactly a negative (it looks awesome, very glam) but it does make the skirt heavy and the folds of fabric hold in some heat. It would easily fit two of me, and I'll never have to use the back zipper.

        The elastic waistband keeps the garment in place whether I wear it above my waist or below my belly button. I'm 5'10" (32"+ inseam) and the skirt is still pretty much floor length (depending how high I wear it).

        The zippered slit is an awesome feature. The pockets are big and generous, tho sometimes hard to locate among the folds of fabric (again, not necessarily a bad thing).

        The background color is dark navy, but the outline of the print is black so it still works with a black top.

        The fabric is beautifully printed quality cotton - the reverse of the fabric is as vibrant as the outside. It's not thin, and with less fabric, the skirt would probably breath nicely.

        For the amount of skirt you get, $70 (CAD) is a steal. It's become almost impossible to find quality cotton garments like this in chain stores, and similar skirts on handmade market websites cost twice as much.

        Oh, and it's versatile! I wanted a fun look for a summer wedding, so I used safety pins and string to temporarily turn it into a shorter bubble hem skirt -voluminous and billowy. [Zip the slit shut, add safety pins (on the inside) around the hem and the waist. Connect each hem pin to corresponding waist pin with a short string so the fabric doubles over. My original hem hung about 8" below the waist for a knee length bubble hem]

        Loved this long skirt

        This skirt is so comfortable and versatile! You can zip it down for more formal events and zip it up for less formal ones. I brought this skirt with me to a wedding in Madrid and it went over really well!

        Great quality of work too! This skirt will last a long time.
